Treat Your Feet
TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET!
Our feet are a super important part of the body! There are 26 bones in each foot and your feet are the foundation of your body. They carry the load of your body and help keep you balanced and stable. Since they are so important to our daily function, we must consider taking care of them.
Below are some great examples of ways to take care of them.

Supportive Shoes
“It doesn’t matter if your shoes still look new, if the support has been worn out, you’re at a much higher risk of injury” says Miguel Cunha, DPM podiatrist and founder of Gotham Footcare.
A few great shoe brands are below; don’t ever underestimate a good fitting too! Check out Gazelle Sports in both GR and Holland for a full-on fit for an athletic sneaker.
- Nike
- New Balance
- Brooks
- Saucony
- Asics
- Mizuno
Pedicures
This is no longer just for the ladies as more and more men are making it a regular habit to get pedicures. Keeping your feet moisturized, spending some time with self-care of your feet can be really relaxing as well as help with circulation. Taking the time to do this can make all the difference for not only keeping your feet looking good but feeling good.
Roll Out Your Feet
Foam rolling the bottoms of your feet (you can use a tennis or lacrosse ball for this too!) is a great way to release tightness in the fascia and get blood circulating in your foot.

Take a FLOW Class!
Your feet are paid a lot of attention to in this class and it’s a great opportunity to be OUT of a shoe and allow your toes and feet to move and wake up.
Stretch Your Feet
Wait, how? Below are a couple examples of stretches you can do for your feet outside of 4G.
