As a former collegiate track and field athlete at Michigan State University, Sarah first started practicing yoga to ‘actively recover’ from the rigor of running and strength training. She never imagined that yoga could be her primary form of physical exercise until she took her first class with Ashley and Mali from AM Yoga. She immediately connected to the type of power vinyasa flow that they taught because beyond a killer workout, the practice allowed for the space and freedom to mentally check-in and gain a deeper sense of self-awareness – something she realized had been lacking from her day-to-day fitness routine.
It wasn’t long before she noticed the powerful impact that the practice had on her own life and felt compelled to share it with others. Sarah completed her Yoga Teacher Training in October 2018 and started teaching in the summer of 2019. When Sarah is not practicing or teaching, she works on the merchandising team for Merrell retail stores. She loves getting outside as much as possible (especially in the summer!) and enjoys spending time with her family.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
“Loves” Salted Caramel ice-cream and their chocolate chip cookies! YUM!!
