Coach Ona's Bio
- Ona grew up in Rockford, MI very active and as a dancer. From the age of three, dance has been an integral part of Ona’s life. She danced competitively throughout middle school and high school and was involved in performances with the dance department at Colorado State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She is also an avid runner. In 2017, Ona ran four half marathons! Now she enjoys more leisurely runs with her dog. Ona is also a big fan of snowboarding. Her dad put her on a snowboard for the first time when she was three years old, and she has loved it ever since.
- Ona moved to Colorado after graduating high school to attend Colorado State University. She lived out in Colorado for seven years. Ona has now been back in Michigan since January 2018 and is going to school at GVSU pursuing her master’s degree in social work.
- Ona was introduced to yoga in high school but didn’t start practicing regularly until 2017. That is when she made the commitment to start practicing yoga every day, and it has changed her life! Ona went through AM Yoga’s Teacher Training program and has been teaching since June of 2019.
